BACKWOODS TRAIL

I saw a sign-up for a 5k trail hike at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen, Minnesota.  This is one of my of my favorite haunts.  Looking at the map I saw it was a trail I didn’t know about, in fact it was a trail less traveled.  At that point I decided to join The Fall Colors Trail Run/Hike 5k.  As I walked along the leaf covered path I saw beautiful colors which I tried to capture with my camera.  This view of the trail was probably half a kilometer into the 5k.  To me the trees reminded me of a welcoming gateway to the shrouded trail.  This special activity let me roam through the woods and photograph the beautiful colors of the fall.
