I took this photograph during my visit to the rose garden at the University of Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chanhassen. That morning I drove the forty-five minutes to the Arboretum, parked my car, gathered my camera equipment, and headed out for my walk. I headed towards the rose garden and started looking for the best roses. I came across this rose which was open but not completely and decided to concentrate on it. Like always I took some photographs to consider lighting, angles, and from which location to shoot. I decided that this would be best taken from a low crouching position. After a total of about twenty-five shots I felt content that I would be happy with what was in my camera. Arriving home I looked at my photographs and picked this rose to present to my friends and customers. My photographs are always straight from the camera and straight from my heart.
